One of my photography teachers gave an assignment called "Spend an Hour with a Flower" - and it was a real turning point for me in my photography journey. So many of my early works are based on split-second decisions and quick, instinctive shots. A fast-paced shooting technique is perfect for wildlife, but in the flower world, more time is needed to explore and wander through the universe of color, shape and textures. "Calming Flow" is the result of that slower, more thoughtful approach to making an image.
